Music Ten: Garageband Remix Assignment Audio Editing in Garageband:You are going to create a remix using your favorite songs! Take four to five (4-5) MP3 files of your choice and do the following: 1. Take clips (no more than 15 seconds) from each MP3 file to create a new “Mix” file 2. You must use Fade In and Fade Out during the file. Your choice of how many and when. 3. You must use at least 2 Audio Effects. Your choice. 4. You can also use GarageBand Instruments within your remix. Your choice. 5. Length of file must be at least 2:00 minutes. Longer is fine.

How to add movie sound clips into your remix
- Go to http://www.moviesoundclips.net/ to get movie clips sound bits
- Find a sound slip and download onto your desktop as an MP3
- Transfer the MP3 into iTunes
- Transfer from iTunes into GarageBand
How to get MP3s of your favorite songs- Go to YouTube and find a song
- Go to www.snipmp3.com to convert the YouTube video songs into MP3
- Save the MP3 song onto your desktop and then drag over to iTunes
- Transfer from iTunes into GarageBand
How to export a Garageband file to an MP3- Click SHARE
- Click EXPORT TO DISK
- Check the box that says “Compress” Choose MP3 for the drop down that says “Compress Using”
